Webb10 sep. 2016 · When I was examining a Ruger SR-556 years ago and saw the unshrouded firing pin I handed the rifle back to the nice man behind the counter. An unforgivable blunder on Ruger's part. The AR-556 has the same problem but at least finding a proper carrier or complete BCG is easier. Still, for me this problem in either rifle is a dealbreaker.
