The camcorder only has one audio input, and I didn't think to … WebTrying to reencode old DSLR video which is h.264 and with an absurdly high bitrate in the neighborhood of 50,000kbps with PCM audio. I'm reencoding to h.264 and AAC, and have figured out my RF and encoder settings to have files that are 5000-8000kbps average bitrate, a 80-90% decrease in filzesize.

By far, the best is FFmpeg which is more or less the Swiss Army Knife of video/audio editing. The downside is that it’s a Command Line app which requires a bit of a learning curve.
