I guess you couldn't run a CTF-2 on a Hydra, but the CTF-2 removes the need for a Hydra in the first place. I use tailcap activation on a white light at the end of a 15" M-LOK rail and it's a non-issue.

It is a white light, IR laser and IR LED (basically a surefire vampire light) in a small package. It will suffer from the same limitations as a SF vamp light but it may be useful on PCC/PDW types.
