Ditto for 4 bolt blocks. Core shift was not too much of a problem in Mk. IV Chev. blocks up to the early 70's. Later it maybe an issue. Your cylinders will most likely not have the reliefs in them to clear the crank counter weights as the 3.76" crank clears without them. I put 100k miles or so on the 60 over 396 I had in my old pickup. 400 hp is easy, 500 hp not so easy. Yes but you could hit 435-450 with modern heads. If the engine block is cast as a 427 there will be room to overbore it, w/o risk of running out of wall thickness.
