Star Skin: Site

Star Skin: Site

The first time I peered into a cut away in the plywood barriers erected around construction sites - I was hooked. The equal potency of potential and history (both memory and the imagined narratives that were true for so many) charged the scene for me. I heard the myriad conversations, I saw the future and the long ago felling of trees. If that was all it would have been rich enough. When I looked again, I saw myself through the cutaways. I saw my lives and I saw yours too. I think it might be important to remember that in our star skin we are being remembered, remade, made, and made yet again. It might be easier to foster compassion and love if we hold the whole shifting shape of our star skin in our deepest heart.
